Hello.

I’m Tayssir.

I was born in Tunisia and made Catalonia my home. I’ve spent much of my life between languages, countries and cultures, and that has shaped the way I see the world.

I’m a linguist through both study and lived experience, shaped by years of working across languages and cultures and by the places I’ve called home. I’m also an entrepreneur, driven by curiosity and the desire to turn ideas into something real.

I love travelling, meeting people and discovering different ways of living. Over the years, I’ve built my life in Catalonia through work, friendships and involvement in the communities around me, while staying deeply connected to Tunisia and the wider world.

When I’m not working on something, you’ll often find me somewhere in the mountains, running, skiing or simply enjoying being outside.

Most of what I do comes back to the same things: people, languages, cultures and places.

Things I do

LionPhrase

I founded LionPhrase from my work as a translator and a lifelong fascination with languages and communication.

What began as an independent practice has grown into an international network of linguists. Together, we help organisations communicate across languages and cultures while preserving what matters most to me: the human meaning behind the words.

Land & Soul

Land & Soul grew out of another part of my life that has always mattered to me: travel.

I’ve never been particularly interested in travelling just to tick places off a list. I like taking my time, getting to know people, eating what they eat, hearing their stories and understanding a little of what makes a place what it is.

Land & Soul is an expression of that way of travelling, with journeys shaped by people, places and genuine encounters.

Mountains

The mountains are where I go to move, explore, challenge myself and find perspective.

I’m an ultra trail runner and ski mountaineer, and endurance sport has been part of my life for years. I’ve raced across the Alps, Pyrenees and Mediterranean, completing long distance mountain races of over 100 kilometres and taking part in some of the major events in international trail running.

Beyond the distance and the results, what keeps drawing me back is something deeper: movement, effort, wilderness and perspective.

In the mountains, I find simplicity, gratitude and a quiet connection to my faith.

Still exploring.

I was born in Tunisia, grew up partly in the United States, and have lived in Spain, France and Japan. Each place has left something with me.

I’m interested in languages, cultures, history, faith, mountains, food, ideas and the many ways people make sense of the world. I value conversations that challenge my perspective and encounters that help me see things differently.

I also enjoy bringing people and ideas together. Over the years, I’ve taken part in conversations and initiatives around language, culture, international affairs and the relationship between communities, sometimes as a linguist, sometimes as an entrepreneur, and sometimes simply as an engaged citizen.

Curiosity continues to shape the way I live, the things I build and the places I go.

There is always more to learn, more to understand and somewhere new to go.
