I was born in Tunisia, grew up partly in the United States, and have lived in Spain, France and Japan. Each place has left something with me.
I’m interested in languages, cultures, history, faith, mountains, food, ideas and the many ways people make sense of the world. I value conversations that challenge my perspective and encounters that help me see things differently.
I also enjoy bringing people and ideas together. Over the years, I’ve taken part in conversations and initiatives around language, culture, international affairs and the relationship between communities, sometimes as a linguist, sometimes as an entrepreneur, and sometimes simply as an engaged citizen.
Curiosity continues to shape the way I live, the things I build and the places I go.
There is always more to learn, more to understand and somewhere new to go.
